Preparing for "The Day"
01 May 2005 • Charles Cooper
Every person lives for something. Many people die for nothing. Repeatedly throughout the New Testament, Paul refers to "the day." It is that future point where everything he lived, worked and died for will be realized.
Acts 2:14-17 (41:12)

The Perfect Church
08 May 2005 • Charles Cooper
You have probably heard the joke, “If you find a perfect church, don’t join it because you’ll ruin it.” What would a perfect church look like? Discover the truths of 1 Corinthians 3:1-9 and understand the measuring stick God uses to produce perfect churches.
1 Corinthians 3:1-9 (35:35)

Our New LEASE on Life
01 Jan 2006• Scott Holmgren & Charles Cooper
Life at Harvest Church is defined by the acronym: LEASE. As a church, we are committed to fueling a passion in people to LEARN through the Word, EXPRESS through their Worship, APPLY as they Walk, and SHARE with the World, EVERY DAY
(35:25)

Safe in Daddy's Arms
18 Jun 2006 • Charles Cooper
Every father is remembered by his wife and children. What every wife and child remembers is uncertain. God's grace makes it possible to reverse, deepen, and/or build memories that warm the heart upon reflection for generations.
Job 1:1-5 (47:32)

Your Joyful Revolution
25 Jun 2006 • Scott Holmgren
People respond to challenges and crises in all sorts of ways. Each and every day you, me, all of us will face obstacles both great and small. And we will usually – left to our own devices – respond and react with our gut emotions. But a follower of Jesus Christ has another option. A radical option. A revolutionary option, that will dumbfound and amaze those who may have never witnessed it before.
James 1:2-4 (44:36)

Who is Driving Me?
6 Aug 2006• Charles Cooper
Everyday, every person must decide who will drive the car of our hearts. That decision will great influence whether God or the world is pleased with us. No one can make this decision for us. Each one of us must decide for ourselves. God drives for His pleasure. The world drives
for our pleasure. Each has consequences.
Galatians 5:16-24 (47:12)

A King for a Day
13 Aug 2006• Charles Cooper
Remember when you were seven? When life was as complicated as figuring out how to climb the tree in your backyard? When your biggest challenge was deciding which cereal to have for breakfast? Now imagine being seven years old and being king of millions of people! It's a real story of how God can use even the smallest of children in the most amazing ways.
2 Kings 11-12 (44:59)

Be One
20 Aug 2006• Charles Cooper
Every parent has witnessed the value of unity in a nursery. When everyone plays nicely and cries sparingly, its a good morning. Unity among children can be more than a desire. It can be a reality if we teach and train our children with this goal in mind.
John 17:20-26 (42:05)

Express Yourself!
03 Sep 2006• Charles Cooper
No one likes a show-off but that stops few from showing off. Bragging is considered obnoxious, self-aggrandizing, and self-centered. Some subscribe to the idea: if you can brag and not lie--brag on! Since bragging and showing off have negative associations, how shall we express our relationship to Jesus Christ?
Judges 5 (56:43)

At Whose Feet Do You Sit?
10 Sep 2006• Scott Holmgren
Repeatedly in the Gospels, Jesus is referred to as "Rabbi" or "Teacher." He's called that by His disciples, skeptics, followers, doubters, lawyers, tax men, Pharisees, Sadducees, the whole lot. As a teacher in the business of teaching, those around Him were placed in the position of being learners. But whether they did or not was another matter. For you and me, today we find ourselves at the feet of the Rabbi. The question is, are we ready to learn?
Ephesians 4:17-24 (56:31)

Idle No More
17 Sep 2006• Scott Holmgren
Relationships aren't part-time vocations. You don't carry the title husband or wife two days out of the week and exist in a completely different capacity the other five days. You don't tell your best friend that tomorrow you're taking a day off from the friend thing. Likewise, being a Christian is a 24/7/365 type of life. It's only when you think following Jesus is just a Sunday thing – and maybe small group night – that you begin to realize that spiritual idleness occupies a majority of your relationship with God.
2 John 6 (58:15)

Say "Amen"!
24 Sep 2006• Charles Cooper
Mention the term "Witnessing" and many believers develop an immediate case of the chills. Yet, verbal declaration is but one of several ways to "witness" about Jesus Christ. As evangelicals, "witnessing" is critical to our name. During this message, we will discover different ways to proclaim our convictions regarding Jesus Christ and new ways to speak loudly but never say a word.
1 Peter 3:15 (44:48)

A Better Life
29 Oct 2006 • Eddie Taubensee, Charles Cooper
A special time of testimony by Eddie Taubensee, former Major League Baseball catcher, followed by a message from Coop.
(34:52)

New Beginnings
31 Dec 2007 • Eddie Taubensee
Former Major League Ballplayer Eddie Taubensee challenges us to consider the new beginnings of both a New Year and a new heart in Jesus Christ.
(18:59)

Facing the "Bubbas" in Life
29 Apr 2007 • Norm Evans
Norm Evans, President of Pro Athletes Outreach, played football for 14 years and was a member of the 1972 Miami Dolphins team that went undefeated. Owner of two Super Bowl rings, Evans played alongside and against a host of football greats; Bubba Smith was one of them. When Christians come up against a formidable foe, what should we keep in mind when life takes the snap and we get hit with a crushing blow?
(32:56)

Parenting Moses
13 May 2007 • Dr. Herb Samworth
Dr. Herb Samworth examines the impact of parenthood, especially motherhood, in the life of Moses and the encouragement these lessons can have in our lives as parents today.
(40:00)

The Agape Feast
24 Jun 2007 • Charles Cooper
The central focus of the Lord's Supper is to "proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." The two pillars of the Lord's work at Calvary are death and resurrection. The Lord's Supper pictures and memorializes his death. Baptism pictures and memorializes his resurrection. Both events require soberness on our part. Let's come to this day with an attitude of appreciation and thanksgiving as we celebrate our Lord's sacrifice at Calvary for our sin.
(17:18)

Creflo Dollar: Who Is Jesus?
01 Jul 2007 • Charles Cooper
Mr. Dollar flat out denied the deity of Jesus and his perfect humanity. These are charges of heresy and the conduct of a false prophet. Today we discuss the basis of this claim and the biblical refutation to proof otherwise. (45:59)

Manifestations: The Error of T.D. Jakes
15 Jul 2007 • Charles Cooper
It sounds so good. Everybody wants it. The problem, however, is the provider. A defective view of Jesus Christ renders the whole equation wrong. This is the outcome of T.D. Jakes' teachings – an old lie in a new dress. (53:23)

Joel Osteen : Is Nice Enough?
05 Aug 2007 • Charles Cooper
It is reported that an inferiority complex is one of the most common problems of our society. People need help. So what's wrong with a preacher helping people every Sunday to feel better about themselves? This week we examine the "gospel of self-esteem." Does the Bible command that we go into all the world and preach the "gospel of self-esteem"? What is the biblical basis of these claims? (47:02)

Be Quick To Challenge Error
12 Aug 2007 • Charles Cooper
The damage done by slow erosion is just as bad as the damaged done by a sudden disaster. Allowing a little error in regards to the nature of biblical salvation or the person of Jesus Christ will ultimately prove of great consequence because people may think they are saved when in reality they are not. We can't count the number of people who go to church every Sunday but do not believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. Many do not know the consequences of this problem. Let's love people, but be quick to challenge error.
Jude 1-5 (43:10)

Back to School and Small Groups
19 Aug 2007 • Scott Holmgren
Reading, writing, arithmetic... And small groups? How do all four of these relate to the first day of school? As kids go back to school, we can go back to some basics of community as taught in God’s Word. We’ll discover that if you’re not interested in community, it’s likely you have very little need for the body of Christ and Christ Himself!
Hebrews 10:23-25 (46:44)

Communion & Community
26 Aug 2007 • Scott Holmgren
The Communion Table is a powerful remembrance of what Christ's sacrifice on the cross means to each one of us. In addition, it gives us an opportunity to consider what it means for us as a community – a community of forgiven individuals.
Hebrews 10:1-18 (28:58)

Day of Atonement
23 Sep 2007 • Scott Holmgren
The origins for the Jewish holiday of Yom Kipur can be found in Leviticus 16. Whereas the nation of Israel was required to observe the atonement made on that day, the Body of Christ desires to observe the atonement of the cross when celebrating Communion.
Leviticus 16 (11:38)

Honoring God In and Through Your Work
30 Sep 2007 • Ray Hilbert
Ray Hilbert is Harvest's special guest for our Fifth Sunday service this month. Ray is co-founder of TRUTH@WORK, a not-for-profit ministry whose mission is to “change the way America works by bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to the marketplace.”
(48:17)

A Way Forward!
06 Jan 2008 • Charles Cooper
Since a gathering of any group of God’s people has the potential to reflect what will ultimately be seen and heard in eternity, we hope to allow men and women to get a fore-taste of heaven here on earth. Wonder what “heaven” will look, sound, and act like? Study with us as we investigate this topic in Revelation, chapter 7.
Revelation 7:9-17 (40:19)
