But you’ve got to understand a few things about harvests, and what the “Lord of the harvest” desires as our purpose and calling as a local church. There’s lots to be and do. Saving Private You
In Steven Spielberg’s film Saving Private Ryan, the title character replays the series of events that delivered him from the awful terror and almost certain death of World War II. At the end of the story, an elderly Ryan turns to his wife and says, “Tell me I’ve lived a good life… Tell me I’m a good man.” For you and I, what defines our goodness? Where does our goodness lie? And like Private Ryan, have we earned the right to be a good person?

Our world is growing steadily impatient with those who argue for absolutes. Nowhere is this truer than in the area of religion. Is there really only one way to heaven? The choice to believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven requires faith. To believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven requires that a person suspend common sense. Only God can help us to look past our fears and trust Him. That most will not believe confirms that narrow is the way and few find it.
